Shadow Puppet Edu - Free
I just discovered this great app, Shadow Puppet Edu! It’s turned out to be one of my favorite apps for digital storytelling. One of the greatest features, it’s FREE! Shadow Puppet allows students to take images and tell a story by recording their voice over their slideshow!
With Shadow Puppet Edu students can produce a show 30 minutes long to include as many as 100 slides of pictures. There is an awesome feature for gathering pictures. Shadow Puppet Edu has included a research column where students can add images directly from NASA, Library of Congress’ archive, Met Museum of Art, The British Library, NOAA and more all without leaving the app!
I can see why this app was chosen by The American Association of School Librarian as a 2014 Best App for Teaching and Learning.

Lesson Plan to use with Shadow Puppet using BrainPOP!
BrainPOP: Not Just for Videos!
I use BrainPOP with many projects, from animation (see sample) to taking the content and using it with an app like this. We are so lucky to have a 24/7 subscription that enables us to use 'My BrainPOP'. Give it try, it's not just videos! (Although they are the best!)
